Audio purists have recognized the advantages of passive devices for many years. Today's signal sources, especially most outboard DAC's and Phono preamps, have plenty of signal to drive an amplifier directly, without passing through another active gain stage, which adds distortions and coloration. The VPC•1 is a simple device with 2 pair of input jacks, a pair of output jacks, a custom volume control potentiometer, and input selector switch. Careful design layout and short signal paths are used for optimum performance and flexibility. Our precision potentiometer uses double screened resistive material and a beryllium wiper for excellent sound quality, channel to channel tracking, and long life. For the input section, there are 2 inputs with a front panel switch for "Input 1", "Mute" and "Input 2". We've also included Vishay metal film resistors and bypass jumpers for custom input level matching. All jacks, switches, and jumpers are high quality with gold plated contacts.
